Card of the Day - 2013 Topps Tribute : Tim Raines Base Autograph Blue Parallel (16/50)

Another acquisition due to me ready the Up, Up and Away book about the Montreal franchise.

Tim was always on my long list of autographs to acquire at some point but was never on the "need to purchase now!" list. Finishing the book though put him back into my mind though. Other than it being an on card autograph the only thing that the card had to have was Tim shown in an Expos uniform. Plenty of choices out there with him in White Sox gear but I held out for the Expo version.

The Tribute brand had the most selection to chose from and the price seemed like it would be reasonable and not too harsh on the eBay wallet. After missing on a few as I was testing what the market was I settled in on this one and with a Beckett assigned book value of $25 I ended up wining it for more than 60% off of that stated value. A nice little pick up on the autograph front. Welcome to the collection Tim and hopefully one day soon to the Hall of Fame.
