Well look who made it to four digits?

When I started this blog up back in October of 2012 with my introductory post I never took the time to think about where it would go or how long it would last. I ran a previous blog that lasted all of 36 entries so seeing 1000 here seems to be a big accomplishment.

It's kind of funny considering that this is a Dodger centric blog that it wasn't till my 4th entry that I showed off something Dodgery. I have gone from bobble heads, signed balls and movie reviews in the beginning to mainly cards as of today. I am sure that will and probably change as change is the only constant in life.

When I started out I could count the blogger/twitter friends I had on one hand but now I would need a calculator (slight exaggeration, ha ha) to add them all up. I remember in the beginning I could not get anyone to trade with me as I was too much of a green pea in the blogging world. One person that did help me out and get my name out there was/is Greg of Plaschke Thy Sweater Is Argyle fame. Thank you again to you for extending a helpful hand Greg. It was and is appreciated.

Where will the next 1000 posts take me? If I do one a day that is almost 3 years done the road and we all know things can change drastically day to day so trying to forecast something years done the road is foolish. The only thing I am sure of is that I enjoying posting about card acquisitions, the in person meet and greets with players, the trades with friends and the occasional rant.

For those that happened upon my blog for the first time today, welcome. For those that have been on the ride for awhile, thank you for the support and welcoming me into the blogging and twitter world as a peer. I enjoy the company and I have had the pleasure to have "met" many people that have become friends whether just on a computer screen or eventually in real physical life. It has been a fun 1000 posts and I look forward to the next 1000 and beyond.
