January Jubilation

Out with the old and in with the new.

2014 is officially in the rear view mirror and the promise of a new year is upon us.

The past 12 months have brought various levels of pain and joy but I am looking 2015 in its face and "demanding" it to allow me, my wife and everyone I love and care for (which includes you the reader) to have a fun and fruitful year. We all deserve to enjoy life and what it has to offer us. I am tired of turning on the tv and seeing wars, killings and/or political bullshit affecting my life whether it be directly or indirectly. Isn't it time to have a more positive outlook on all things? Yes, it will never be smooth sailing everyday but can we all make the effort to improve our personal world which in turns rubs off on other people? You get what you give. So if you give happy and positive vibes and whatnot you will eventually receive that in turn. I will do my best to do this.

With it being January now, we can now say that baseball returns NEXT month. Woo Hoo. We are 50 days away from pitchers and catchers reporting to Camelback and I for one can't wait as I have a trip planned for late February to go autograph hunting. Maybe I'll run into you.

Before that though Chan Ho Park will be making a rare public appearance on the 17th at Frank and Sons and I will be there as I need to reacquire his autograph for my collection. During the last week of the month (not sure which day, Thursday most likely) it will be my yearly date with the Dodgers for their select-a-seat event. Last year I was able to upgrade my seats past the "drip" line from the loge level and met Yasiel Puig yet again. Will I change seats this year? Not sure but one thing I will be doing is sitting down and having my first Dodger Dog of the year that day.

It being January there are not many new movies that need to be seen in the theater as this month has become the new dumping ground for studios, though Taken 3 will be on the docket to catch. Love me some Liam Nielson kicking ass flicks.

When it comes down to it January for me usually is a reset month from the previous year and this time I will do my best to have a less stressful year. While still blessed I am sure I could help make my life better and I hope I can accomplish that.

May you all have a Happy New Year and make some great new memories.
