The second of 5 submission result entries for the week and it's one that I thought would be 3rd in the series.
As stated in the submission blog post I assumed that this would come back as a mint 9.0 which it did. I expected that the corners or edges would sub grade out to a 9.0 but hopefully not both and maybe squeeze out an overall gem mint grade. Well the surfaces and centering grades were 9.5 but both the corners and edges received the dreaded 9.0. Again, not unexpected. The reason that this falls under the disappointed category is the grade the autograph received. A 9.0? Really? This is the second silver autograph I have sent in to grade and as with the Seager one seen HERE they both earned a 9. I fully understood the Seager one and even knew it was going to happen but Kershaw here looks great. Don't understand.
Again with this and yesterday's Puig submission it makes me wonder if my eyes aren't that good. My faith is restored to a point on the next 3 entries.

What's wrong with the auto BGS?
I don't work at Beckett, but I know they aren't fans of "non-completed" autos. I would venture to guess that they docked the signature for running off the side of the card. It's silly. That auto looks great.

DeleteNon complete is a new term I havent seen used.
So if they have a short signature as well as a long signature version what happens then? Ugh.
